For those mothers tired of seeing their children laze around the house all the time.
As we all know that after a certain age children can be quite useful and start to do things on their own. This is of course, why some parents give their children chores and let them earn their own spending money. But as some mothers have discovered, there are even further uses for children that help ease your duties as a parent. Luckily for those of you who have found this blog and those of you who have been here for awhile, I am here to shair some of these uses with you.

The Gofor

Ever super busy and wish you could be in more than one place at once?
need to check on laundry, or the cookies, but can’t leave the task at hand?
Have a captive audience and suddenly need to show them pictures but don’t have said pictures in front of you?
Don’t just get up and walk away for who knows how long, send the children.
Depending on the age of the child, they can perform any number of tasks including checking on complicated meals and carrying messages between rooms. And of course once they’re older and can drive, the possibilities are endless!

The Phone Holder

Don’t you hate being on hold for hours? Especially when you’ve got children on the move?
Fret no more, By handing the holding duty off to your children, you are both giving them something to do and freeing up your hands to do other important parental things.

Activity Monitor

Although this is not strongly encouraged, for those parents who have children of significant age differences, having the oldest check in on activities from time to time is a useful task that can keep your house from becoming a disaster scene. Just try not to encourage actual tattling as this may cause more of a headache than you need. A simple “the twins are still watching TV” will do.

Again for the parents of children who are not so close in age. Most parents have discovered what a joy it is to have children who can drive. Need someone to pick Timmy up from afterschool while you run errands? Licensed child to the rescue!

Massage Therapy

Want to get rid of those aches and pains but can’t pay for it/don’t have the time to see a professional?
Always wanted one of those fancy European massages?
Well here’s one for the little ones.
Provided you yourself aren’t too small, just have tiny walk up and down on your back, just like the professionals!

And these are just a few of the jobs you can give your children, both providing them with valuable life experiences, and making your life easier.
