Even if you don’t like him, you should have at least a healthy appreciation for William Shakespeare. I mean how many times does pop culture make reference to him or his works? And for those bibliophiles out there,is he not everywhere in literature too?
I’ve always thought that one of the major problems most people have with shakespeare is that teachers make us read it. Clearly you are missing out if you only read shakespeare; Shakespeare is meant to be watched on stage. He was afterall, a playwright. Even so, reading does help with following along when you go to see a Shakespeare play. As for myself, I intend to see as many as I can.
